The Las Vegas Raiders are a professional American football team based in Las Vegas Nevada. They compete as a member club of the AFC, having been one of the founding members of the AFL as the Oakland Raiders in 1960.

The Raiders, who have existed in Los Angeles and Oakland as well as Vegas, have been perenially successful. They won three Super Bowls in the late 70s and early 80s, but since a Super Bowl appearance in 2002, success has been fleeting.
